Organic

I take photos of details in nature. I zoom in so close, that the photographed object in the field of view can not be perceived as an object. After this is have this picture (shot) printed on a big screen. Thus confusion is created. One can not recognize the object. You don’t know whether it is a photo or a painting. The own imagination becomes important. With this i want to achieve that the viewer looks at the pictures in a different way.

Organisch

Ich nehme mit der Kamera Details der Natur auf. Ich gehe so nah ran, dass der abgebildete Ausschnitt nicht als Gegenstand wahrgenommen wird. Danach lasse ich diese Aufnahmen groß auf Leinwand drucken. Es entsteht dadurch eine Verwirrung. Man erkennt das Objekt nicht mehr. Man weiß nicht, ob es sich um ein Foto oder um Malerei handelt. Die eigenen Vorstellungen gewinnen an Bedeutung. Damit möchte ich erreichen, dass der Betrachter die Bilder auf andere Weise anschaut.

Organica

Con mi cámara retengo detalles de la naturaleza. Me acerco a ellos de tal forma que pierden su relación con el total. Luego los imprimo sobre tela, en grandes formatos.
A través del acercamiento de la cámara y del tamaño final de la obra, se forman nuevas imágenes donde el objeto inicial es difícil de reconocer como tampoco se distingue a simple vista si se trata de pintura o fotografía. La interpretación del espectador cobra así importancia.

Con esto quiero lograr que el espectador ejercite otra forma de acercamiento a la obra.

„Cuando usted sale a pintar, debe olvidar qué objetos tiene delante, un árbol, una casa, un prado, etc. (…) Piense que cada hoja de un árbol es tan importante como el motivo en sí.”

A project whith Claudia Hurt

The new world is the concept of the modern world which gains its strength through diversity. Where unique and different individuals live together. Everyone of them is part of current society, regardless of their origin, religion, language…
In the new world new nationalities are assumed, foreign languages become the mother tongue of the children. The question where one comes from can be asked less and less; the classification into a certain culture becomes superfluous.

Modelo para armar – model kit – invites us to create playfully the picture of the New World. Different cultures are assembled into a new appearance, in which the traces of origin are blurred.

Neue Welt

Ein Projekt in Zusammenarbeit mit Claudia Hurt

Die Idee zur Neuen Welt entstand aus der Überlegung heraus, dass eine neue Migrationsbewegung entstanden ist, die Europa zum Ziel hat. Es entsteht eine Neue Welt mit Einwohnern, die aus Kulturen der ganzen Welt kommen und auf der Suche nach einer Welt sind, in der sie besser leben können als in ihren Herkunftsländern, politisch und ökonomisch. Die Migranten kommen, um zu bleiben. Viele gründen Familien, in denen Menschen verschiedener Kulturen, Religionen und Ethnien zusammenleben.

Neue Nationalitäten werden angenommen, fremde Sprachen werden zur Muttersprache der Kinder. Die Frage nach der Herkunft kann immer weniger gestellt werden, die Einordung in einen Kulturkreis erübrigt sich mehr und mehr. Alle sind Individuen, unabhängig davon, woher sie kommen und wohin sie gehen.

Un proyecto con Claudia Hurt

La idea del Nuevo Mundo nace de la observación de las nuevas sociedades formadas por los crecientes movimientos migratorios. Estas nuevas sociedades, este Nuevo Mundo, cambia de cara constantemente. Está en continua transformación. Sus habitantes son los migrantes, seres en búsqueda.

Muchos de ellos forman familias en las que conviven personas de diferentes culturas, religiones y etnias. Se adoptan nuevas nacionalidades, lenguas extranjeras se vuelven lenguas maternas de los niños. La pregunta por el país de origen es cada vez más una pregunta superflua. La clasificación de las personas en un determinado círculo cultural se vuelve más difícil e irrelevante. Todos son ciudadanos de este mundo, independientemente de, de dónde vienen y adónde van.
