Alejandra Gonsebatt :
I have always been occupied with the topics of being deeply rooted, of migration, of homeland, of being uprooted, of ones own roots, a feeling of belonging, culture and interculturality. As an Argentinian I myself com from an immigration country and am myself an emigrant and a migrant.
This eternal traveling which my ancestors have started, in connection with an eternal search, is a constituent element of myself and is reflected in my art work.
The main theme takes on different forms, depending which artistic devices i use- photography, painting, drawing, collage, installation, video etc. and depending which of the manifold themes i take as a focal point.
These selected points guide my series.
